As a Marketing Innovation Specialist, you will be an integral part of our marketing agency's team, responsible for driving marketing planning and strategic innovation across various marketing channels. Your role will focus on developing innovative and effective marketing tactics to help our clients elevate their marketing in both the traditional and digital landscapes.
This role will support our Media Planning, Account Service and Business Development departments and will empower you to drive huge agency impact through a combination of innovative marketing planning and strategic business development efforts, contributing to the holistic success of our clients' businesses.
Expectations Based on Accountabilities
- Trends & Research: You will stay abreast of marketing and industry trends, competitor activities, and both current and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for putting together powerful and innovation strategies to drive real world results for our clients. You will conduct research and analysis to inform strategic plans. You will understand implementation and what drives true ROI and be able to explain the “why” behind the selection of tactics.
- Innovative Strategies: Brainstorm and generate innovative ideas for annual and quarterly planning, brand and product launches, and marketing activations. Strive to differentiate client brands from their competitors and push the boundaries of traditional and digital marketing approaches. Lead the integration of innovative digital marketing tactics with other marketing methodologies to include traditional media, grassroots marketing and social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement. Big picture strategic thinking is a must.
- Performance Analytics: Analyze the performance of marketing initiatives and campaigns, gathering insights and data to assess effectiveness and opportunities for optimization. Continuously refine strategies based on performance metrics and feedback.
- Strategic Internal Business Development: Collaborate closely with account managers to assess the evolving needs and goals of our existing clients. Identify opportunities for expanding our services to enhance their brand positioning and marketing efficacy to achieve their growth targets. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights and recommendations on marketing innovation and opportunities. Effectively communicate complex strategies in a clear and concise manner.
- Strategic Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team, gaining an in-depth understanding of client and prospect needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. Your insights will be pivotal in shaping strategic sales approaches that resonate with clients and drive results in their marketing. You will play a key role in crafting impactful sales presentations and proposals that convey the value of our innovative branding and marketing strategies. Additionally, your contribution to thorough research and analysis will be instrumental in identifying untapped opportunities for new technologies and marketing platforms, ensuring that our agency remains at the forefront of industry trends and business growth.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Foster a collaborative environment within the agency, working closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, copywriters, account managers, and digital marketers, to deliver successful brand innovation projects.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree in Marketing or Brand Management is a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading brand strategy, brand management, or innovation roles within marketing agencies or relevant industries.
- Creative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, with a passion for driving innovation in branding and marketing campaigns.
- Digital Expertise: Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, technologies, and social media platforms, with a track record of successfully integrating digital strategies into brand initiatives.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and using insights to optimize strategies and campaigns for better performance and ROI.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas persuasively and build rapport with clients and internal teams.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain a keen attention to detail.
