Client Snapshot: FCVB

Creative Noggin  |  December 7, 2017

Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau is one of our longest-standing and favorite clients here at Creative Noggin. I mean, who wouldn’t love promoting the jewel of the Texas Hill Country known for its Texas heart, German soul, fascinating architecture, music festivals, rich history and shopping? Not to mention, Fredericksburg is a foodie and wine-lover’s destination of choice with culinary hotspots and wineries galore!

Over the last 8 years that FCVB has been our client, we’ve needed original photography that can truly capture the spirit of all that Fredericksburg and Gillespie County has to offer. (Both the client and Creative Noggin have an absolute “no stock photography” rule.)

Fortunately for us here at the Noggin, we happen to have a professional photographer among our ranks. And she lives in Fredericksburg! Trish Rawls is a partner and the agency’s creative director. While historically she’s been behind the camera as the art director at the shoots, one day she decided to just tackle one of the shots herself using her own design eye.

Using Trish is a perk that makes it convenient and easy to coordinate photo shoots on the fly. “Most of the models used in the FCVB marketing are friends or acquaintances of mine or the client,” Trish says. “Whether it’s a local cardiologist, orthopedic surgeon, hair stylist, high school parent undergoing CPR Certification in Dallas, church friend, a local business owner or a realtor, I love how everyone is up for helping out.”

And the results speak for themselves. We believe we’ve captured an authentic way to feature all the charms of this small town including their retail stores, wineries, events and more.

In the photography slideshow below, you’ll see samples of Trish’s work that’s used in FCVB marketing from print ads, to social media posts, TV spots and beyond.  Enjoy!
